Work Package 3 (WP3) focuses on enhancing diversity and inclusion in geography and science education through the use of virtual field trips (VFTs) and digital tools. These innovative resources aim to support teachers in creating inclusive learning environments while addressing sustainability challenges.
Objectives
· Understanding VFT Potential: WP3 examines the strengths, challenges, and opportunities of VFTs. These tools provide accessible, cost-efficient, and multimodal learning opportunities, reducing inequalities and fostering participation for all learners. However, challenges such as improving interactivity remain.
· Empowering Teachers: By integrating VFTs and advanced tools like artificial intelligence into teacher training, WP3 equips educators with the knowledge and skills to design inclusive and engaging learning experiences for diverse classrooms.
Key Results
1. Analysis of 100 Virtual Field Trips
WP3 will analyse a digital database of VFTs from the previous Erasmus project, V-Global. This analysis will highlight how these tools can be adapted to promote inclusion and diversity in sustainability education.
2. Creation and Improvement of 8 Inclusive Virtual Field Trips
Building on the V-Global project, WP3 will create or enhance eight VFTs. These virtual experiences will embrace cultural diversity, consider individual learner needs, and foster an inclusive and engaging learning environment.
3. Teaching Materials for Teacher Training
New materials will be developed to support teacher trainers and trainees in incorporating diversity and inclusion into their teaching. These resources will include AI-driven chatbots for on-demand guidance and will be translated into English, French, Greek, German, and Spanish to maximise accessibility.
4. Online Toolkit for Diversity and Inclusion
The participative toolkit from the V-Global project will be further refined to enhance its sensitivity to diversity and inclusion, providing teachers with practical tools to create inclusive classrooms.

Key Results
1. Teacher Educator Training
A four-day training program will test all WP2 and WP3 results, helping teacher educators integrate videos, guidelines, VFTs, toolkits, and materials into their training. Feedback will be collected to refine the resources. The training will cover three key modules:
